Browzine

The NU library subscribes to electronic journals in health care. You can read these in BrowZine, which is available both online or app.

You can access our journals outside the VGR network via the BrowZine app. You can also access BrowZine via computer through our proxy service. Read more about accessing our resources outside the VGR network.

With BrowZine you'll get;

  • A bookshelf of your own where you can store your favorite magazines
  • Alerts when new numbers are available
  • An easy way to save and export articles
  • Automatic synchronization of your bookshelf between web and tablet/smartphone
  • Ability to easily open the articles in other reading and reference management programs (e.g. EndNote, Zotero, EZ-Reader, DropBox, etc.)

How to get started with BrowZine via your computer

Go directly to BrowZine on your computer via this link within the VGR network: http://browzine.com

Within the VGR network, Hospital Libraries VGR is preselected when you search on the link above. If it is not automatically preselected, select Sjukhusbiblioteken VGR under the heading Settings > Change Library alt Choose Library.

Here's how to get started on your Android, iPhone or iPad

To access our full-text journal subscriptions on your private mobile phone or tablet, do the following:

  1. Install the BrowZine app.

The first time you start the app, select Sjukhusbiblioteken VGR under the category Choose Library. A message will then appear stating that you need to verify your access rights. Press Continue.

  1. A login box will appear. If you do not have an account, click on Sign up and Create an account. An email will be sent to your specified email address. NOTE! The data will be saved in the app, so when you change the password for your AD account, you must also go to Settings in the app and enter your new password.
  2. Open your e-mail on a computer within the VGR network and press Confirm e-mail address in the e-mail you received. Now you should have access to all NU healthcare's magazines in BrowZine.

You get 90 days of access to NU library journals via BrowZine. When the 90 days have passed, a message will appear in the app that you need to verify again. If you want to renew before the 90 days have passed, you must first log out of your selected library, and then select Sjukhusbiblioteken VGR again under Settings > Change Library.
