Prel titel på avhandlingen:
Evaluation of the mid-term clinical and radiographic outcome after ACL reconstruction in terms of different surgical techniques and the time between injury and ligament reconstruction. Utvärdering av det medellånga kliniska och radiologiska resultatet efter främre korsbandsrekonstruktion avseende olika operationstekniker samt tid mellan skada och korsbandsrekonstruktion.
Study I (ongoing study)
Comparison of the long-term outcome between early and late ACL reconstruction. Aim: The aim of this study is to compare the clinical and radiographic outcome, five to 10 years after ACL reconstruction using hamstring tendon autografts, between subacute (within five months after the injury) and late (more than 24 months after the injury) surgery.
Study II (published Am J Sports Med. 2016;44(5))
Comparison of the mid-term clinical and radiographic outcome between anatomic DB and anatomic SB ACL reconstruction techniques. Aim: The aim of this study was to compare the outcomes of the anatomic DB and anatomic SB techniques five years after ACL reconstruction.
Study III (ongoing study)
Tibial tunnel enlargement after ACL reconstruction using hamstring tendon autografts and biocomposite screws. Aim: The aim of this study is to assess tunnel enlargement on the tibial side up to five years after ACL reconstruction using hamstring tendon autografts and biocomposite interference screws.
Study IV (published Knee Surg Sports Traumatol Arthrosc. 2016)
Comparison of the short-term clinical outcome between anatomic DB and non-anatomic SB ACL reconstruction techniques. Aim: The aim of this study was to compare anatomic DB (ADB) ACL reconstruction with non-anatomic SB reconstruction.
