No visitors allowed in NU Hospital Group
Since March 13, visitors are not allowed at the hospital. The decision applies to NÄL Trollhättan, Uddevalla Hospital and Brinkåsen.
Exceptions
Exceptions apply to parents to inpatient children as well as to patients who are cared for palliatively, provided that the visitor has no symptoms such as cough, respiratory distress or fever. Each hospital ward decides on how to apply those exceptions.
Background
The reason for the decision is the Swedish Public Health Authority's assessment of the risk of the spread of coronavirus covid-19 as very high. Elderly people and people with several diseases has the highest risk of becoming seriously ill.
