Corona virus covid-19

We kindly ask you not to visit the hospital if you have a cough, fever, sore throat or other symptoms of a respiratory infection.

Hospital entrances locked

Due to the spreading of the coronavirus, NU-sjukvården has locked the hospital entrances. Only visitors who have passed the check point at the main entrance will be let in. Emergency visits are refered to the emergency room at NÄL i Trollhättan. 

No visitors permitted without an agreement

No visitors are permitted, neither for visiting patients nor accompanying patients with an appointment, unless it has been authorized by the ward/clinic. 

Exceptions may be given for patients who require help, but only one (1) family member/caregiver is permitted.

Other exceptions may also be given. Please contact the ward/clinic for further information before your visit.

Furthermore, NU-sjukvården is keeping the health care wards locked.

Theese restrictions apply at NÄL, as well as Uddevalla hospital and Brinkåsen.

Patients who have a scheduled appointment

Please note that patients who have a scheduled appointment and do not receive any other information, are welcome to the hospital, provided they have no symptoms of respiratory infection.

Wear a facial mask when visiting NU-sjukvården

In addition to existing measures to reduce the spread of infection, VGR recommends that patients, visitors, companions and staff continuously use facial masks in care rooms where more than one person is staying at the same time.

Putting on a facial mask

  1. Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer.
  2. Inspect the mask for damage or if dirty.
  3. Adjust the mask to your face without leaving gaps on the sides. Cover your mouth, nose and chin.
  4. Avoid touching the mask.

Removing a facial mask

  1. Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer.
  2. Remove the mask by the straps behind the ears or head.
  3. Pull the mask away from your face.
  4. Throw the mask in the disposal bin.

If you feel ill

Call 1177 if you or someone else feel ill and you need to talk to a nurse for advice. You can also get information about where to go for help. 

Emergency care

In case of a serious accident, serious medical condition or if you require an ambulance, call 112.
